Living Waters on Lake Travis
Spicewood, Texas 1997
Originally designed and built by architect Marley Porter as his personal residence, Living Waters on Lake Travis reflects a deeply personal connection between architecture, craftsmanship, and the natural beauty of the Texas Hill Country. Organic forms, natural materials, environmentally conscious design strategies, and thoughtfully composed indoor-outdoor spaces establish a distinctive sense of place along the Lake Travis shoreline.
Over time, the private residence evolved into a unique hospitality and retreat destination featuring imaginative guest accommodations and gathering spaces for overnight stays, weddings, wellness retreats, and private events. Today, Living Waters preserves the spirit of Marley’s original architectural vision while offering guests an immersive experience rooted in creativity, sustainability, and the surrounding Hill Country landscape.
